Langtang Valley Trek is one of the closest trekking routes from the capital, Kathmandu. This trekking route is famed for its excellent terrain with a recital slender valley at the bottom of the majestic Himalayas, located north of the capital.Within a short span of time can complete the trek and the Northern peak share a border with Tibet.
It is the third most popular trekking destination out of all protected areas. As denoted by the name the valley lies inside the premises of Langtang National Park. It lies in the meeting point between Indo-Malayan and Pale-arctic which plays a crucial role in the ecosystem and the conservation of the park. The Park is extended in three districts Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Sindhupalchowk. It is easily accessible and the path passes through the ethnic settlements, diverse jungle making it way upto the pinnacle towards the Northern borders. For those who ought to explore the less crowded destination, it is one of the best treks. It follows the path that was used as a trade route to Tibet and the trail ascends from 1,470 meters at Syabrubesi to 3,870 meters at Kyanjin Gompa.
The area has plentiful of wildlife, Musk Deer (Moschus Chrysogaster) and Himalayan Thar (Hemitragus Jemlahicus), Wild dog (Cuon Alpinus), Snow Leopard (Panthera Uncia), Red Panda (Ailurus Fulgens), Ghorals (Nemoredhus Ghorals), Himalayan Thar and counting upto 250 species of birds are found inside the park. And it is also a region that support for breeding ground for Dark-rumped rosefinch (Carpodacus Edwardii) in summer. With numerous wildlife to observe this trial is yet in mint condition for trekkers.
Day 01: Kathmandu (1,400 mt) to Syabrubesi (1,503 mt)
Day 02: Syabrubesi (1,503mt) to Lama Hotel (2,460 mt) 6 hours
Day 03: Lama Hotel (2,460 mt) to Langtang Village (3,430 mt) 5 hours
Day 04: Langtang Village (3,430 mt) to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870 mt)
Day 05: Acclimatization day in Kyanjin
Day 06: Kyanjin Gopma (3,870 mt) to Lama Hotel (2,460 mt)

Day 08: Syabrubesi to Kathmandu
Day 01: Kathmandu (1,400 mt) to Syabrubesi (1,503 mt) -7 hours drive
Syabrubesi is an astonishing village in Langtang National Park which lies North of Kathmandu and is 131 kilometers in distance (5h 38 min). However, the drive contains sweeping off-road drive via Trishuli and Dhunche. Off-road jeeps are the preferable mode of transportation and local buses also depart early morning.
The path follows the major highway known as Prithvi Highway up to Galchhi and direct towards North via Trishuli Highway. It treads on the bank of the Trishuli river and from Betrawati Bazaar, path will ascends. As this path connects with the border of Tibet, frequently passing huge vehicle might be daunting however we suggest to sit back and enjoy the view. And for the first night, we will settle down at Syabrubesi.
Nevertheless, the drive will be for 7 hours and you will definitely enjoy the view. If you are vehicle sick then please do take medication priorly.
Day 02: Syabrubesi (1,503mt) to Lama Hotel (2,460 mt) 6 hours
Now, it is time to follow the trekking trail which was used as a trade route to Tibet. The majority of terrain will include the path beside the Langtang river. Today we will be ascending almost 900 meters.
We will be crossing a suspension bridge as soon as we hit the trail. Later another bridge will be crossed after an hour. Embarking on our journey to the foothill of Langtang, we will be observing the enormous hill and the lifestyle of the people while the path will be gradually uphill. On the way we will cross severals ideals hotels open for trekking and trekkers frequently passing by as we march upwards.
The overnight destination for tonight's Lama Hotel. It is a tiny settlement on the bank of Lantang River.
Day 03: Lama Hotel (2,460 mt) to Mundu via Langtang Village (3,430 mt) 5 hours
After an early breakfast at Lama, our footsteps will follow the dense forest of Oak and Rhododendrons. Along the way we will be crossing few other major stopovers. The path until Thangsyap will be damp and cool because of the shade from the forest but after crossing it we will be walking through the parched land of the mountains. On the way we will pass through Buddha Monastery and a few waterfalls.
The narrow gorge opens up and the vast view of Himalayas will astonishing you. Later, with in an hour or two you will be reaching at Langtang Valley from Thangsyap. And 20 minutes later we will reach at Mundu where we will be spending our overnight.
Day 04: Mundu (3,430 mt) to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870 mt) 5 hours
On this day we will cross several water mills, prayer, chortens and several inscriptions stones carved on the rocks which will felt like being in another paradise. You will see the largest Mani wall in Nepal where prayers are written to bless all the travellers and the breeze spreads all blessing to all directions.
After reaching at the spot we will rest for a while and explore Kyanjin Gompa and the sight of the snow-capped himalayas will amaze and address you wanderlust feeling. Tonight we will spend our overnight here.
Day 05: Acclimatization day in Kyanjin / Exploring Tserko Ri (5,000 meters/16,404 ft )
This is seperated for acclimatization and we will go on a hike on the crest of a hill. Early morning sunrise from the top is one of the things one shouldn't miss. We will hike up early through the steep and parched hill and witness the spherical change of nature.
After a hike, the point will offer a spectacular bird's eye view of Langtang Himalayan Range. Here on this point you can capture the most beautiful moments of your life and journey. Later we will head down to the hotel and rest. Then for a few hours we will roam around the pasture lands.
Day 06: Kyanjin Gompa (3,870 mt) to Lama Hotel (2,460 mt) - 6 hours
The path is mostly downhill and we follow the same trail we used while ascending. However, you must be cautious while walking downhill. On this night, we will be staying at the same place where we stayed on the second night of our trip. The trekking path might feel different because we just accomplished what we ought for and heading towards the end of our trip.
Day 07: Lama Hotel (2,460 mt) to Syabru Besi (1,503 mt) - 6 hours
Leaving those beautiful mountains behind it is time to finish the circle. We wil walk through the dense jungle and cross suspension bridge heading towards Syabrubesi. It will take approximately 5 hours to arrive at Syabrubesi.
Day 08: Syabrubesi to Kathmandu - 7 hours drive
After an early breakfast, we will hop into a jeep and head towards the Capital. It takes more or less
7 hours via Trishuli and Prithvi Highway.
