Ghorepani Poonhill Ghandruk Trek is the unrivalled destination for those who have limited time and want to get the utmost of it. As per our itinerary the trek kicks off from Tikhedhunga, Kaski. This magnificent trek is filled with culture, picturesque landscape, lushing forest and experience of life time.
It is located in the Western part of Nepal where Magar culture is commonly practised whereas the maximum elevation on this exquisite trek will only be (3,210 m/10531). Nevertheless it is also the best option where one can build up endurance and stamina who are willing to trek in higher altitude of Nepal. The hilltop Poonhill (3,210 m) assures the jaw-dropping view of Western snow-capped Himalayas (Dhaulagiri 8,167 m, Machhapuchhre 6,993 m and the massive Annapurna Range). Then the next stop, Ghandruk village will delight you with its cheerful environment. It is one of the scenic villages, alley and rooftops paved with stones. It is an award winning village and a cultural resource which boasts a healthy number of visitors each year and also a major stop over to Annapurna Base Camp trek. During the month of April-May the green forest switches it’s colour to red, pink and rhododendron (National Flower) blossom in various shades. Highlight of Ghorepani-Ghandruk Trek
Day 01: Kathmandu (1,400 m) to Tikhedhunga (1,570 m) vai Pokhara (900 m) and Nayapul (1,070 m)
Day 02: Tikhedhunga (1,570 m) to Ghorepani (2,700 m)
Day 03: Hike to Poonhill (3,210 m) and trek to Tadapani (2,630 m)
Day 04: Trek to Ghandruk (2,012 m)

Day 01: Kathmandu (1,400 m) to Tikhedhunga (1,570 m) vai Pokhara (900 m) and Nayapul (1,070 m)
The very first day you will be driven from Kathmandu to Nayapul, Kaski(240 kilometers/7 hours). Then we will hop into jeep from Nayapul to Tikhedhunga (1 hours/5 kilometers).
You will be driven through one of the major highways of Nepal known as Prithivi Highway upto Pokhara and from Pokhara to Nayapul it is called Baglung -Muktinath Highway. The road is currently in the construction phase for the expansion which might add travel duration.
Along the way we will pass several places like Malekhu, Abu Khaireni (Gorkha), Kurintar (Manakamana) and other major stops like Muglin, Dumre, Damauli.
For this day the majority of travel will be travelling by vehicle and later we will spend our night in Tikhedhunga. It is a small and exquisite village in Kaski, one of the Western villages of Nepal where magar culture is practiced. Sparse houses located in around, whistling river and verdant environment will definitely amaze you and a good sleep will certainly come.
Day 02: Tikhedhunga (1,570 m) to Ghorepani (2,700 m)
This morning you will be feeling more energetic and fresh with the chilled and fresh environment of WesternNepal. Our trek will start after breakfast, our walk today will contain the majority of steep and gradually climb where as a few kilometers will be through the motorway.
As we ascend, the crystal clear river will definitely make you feel jubilant whereas the frequently passing travellers will greet you with a smile and a gesture of smile. Later after crossing a small rivulet the path will demand uphill for an hour or two.
Today's trek is amazingly unique through magnificent villages and a picturesque landscape along the way. Later crossing the Ulleri path dictates towards the West and through the mesmerizing forest of rhododendron and herbs whereas spring and waterfall will come on the way to cherish your journey.
Upon reaching Ghorepani you will be able to observe the scenic view of the North. It is a small village which has been a major tourist hub in the Annapurna Region which boasts a healthy number of visitors every year. Tonight we will settle in this amazing village and prepare for tomorrow.
Day 03: Hike to Poonhill (3,210 m) and trek to Tadapani (2,630 m)
Poonhill assures the best view of Mount Dhaulagiri (8,167 m/26,795 ft), Macchapucchre (6,993 m/22,943 ft) and Annapurna Region including surrounding enormous hills.
In fact, we will need to hike early in the morning to catch the first glimpse of the sun. The hike will be between 45 minutes- 1 hour. The view upon clear weather will be jaw-dropping as it is considered the best spot to witness the mighty himalayas of the West. A small shop opens after 6 which serves hot beverages to the visitor on payment. After spending a few hours we will hike down to the hotel, Ghorepani Bazar and have breakfast then head towards Tadapani.
Today’s path is amazing, where the sight of the mighty himalayas will be on our left side. The terrain will be a mixture of both up and downhill and through the dense forest of rhododendrons. After an hour hike we will reach Deurali Pass (crest of the hill) which extends to a beautiful landscape then the path descends down gradually.
The total duration of hike will be 6-7 hours whereas the distance is 8 kilometers.
Day 04: Trek to Ghandruk (2,012 m)
Ghandruk is elevated approximately 400 meters below Tadapani. Nonetheless the terrain will contain ascends and a few sections of descends with the fascinating rhododendron forest.
The majority of the path will encompass the forest. This day's trek will be shorter than the previous day and you will be able to explore the beautiful Gurung village of Kaski.
Ghandruk is an exquisite village which is located in the hilly region of Nepal elevated 2,012 meters above sea level. It is a village development committee in Kaski District in the Gandaki Zone of Northern-Central Nepal. Indeed it is a heavenly place where domestic and international tourists seek for authentic Gurung Culture. Besides, every year almost 50,000 tourists visit this place making it the most popular stop in theAnnapurna Development Region.
Later, in the evening you will see many local and domestic tourists taking an evening walk around the village. The village alleys and rooftops are paved with stone which makes it even more appealing. And for the night we will settle in this beautiful village.
Day 05: Ghandruk To Pokhara
You will wake up to a beautiful morning where the golden rays of the sun kisses the snowy mountains. Enjoy your breakfast with the view of mesmerizing nature and we will head down to the bus stop where we will hop into vehicle and drive to Pokhara. The travelling duration will be roughly 3 hours and the distance will be 70 including unpaved roads.
Later , you will have time to freshen up and stroll around the lakeside. You can also have experience of nightlife in Lakeside, Pokhara. You know it is one of the happening places in Nepal.
Day 06: Pokhara to Kathmandu
The bus leaves around 7 am in the morning from the buspark but if you want to take a flight back to Kathmandu that also can be arranged for you.
The duration of the flight will approximately be 45 minutes whereas the in vehicle it will roughly take 8 hours.
